My day job
IN & OUT OF OFFICE
What I love most about my work is that it gets me out of my own kitchen and around other folks’ tables. Whether the conversation is centered on food, science, education, or other big ideas, I listen to learn. I am deeply grateful for all the opportunities clients have given me to help them connect with their audiences and build meaningful relationships through branded communications.
Here’s some of my most recent work.

YORK SEWER DISTRICT
AUGUST 2026
How often do you hear from your sewer district other than the bill? York Sewer District Chief Utility Officer, Phil Tucker wants to change the traditional conversation from an invoice to an invitation.
With the District’s 75th Anniversary in 2026, Phil and his team knew this was an opportunity to invite the community to learn about the value of their services.
Leading up to an Open House in early August, we reimagined a new kind of relationship—a community handshake—that drove an updated mission and a new collection of vision and values statements.
Service, safety and science become the new motto. It underscores the team’s work 24/7/365 and their commitment to helping their community understand the water quality challenges and opportunities faced by York and many of the regional beach communities.
Deliverables:
— Refreshed mission statement and new vision and values statements
— New logo and business communications templates
— Visual identity cheatsheet and brand guidelines (in the works!)
— 75th Anniversary Open House event planning and communications including press releases, signage, email, radio and local TV
— Social media strategy and new grid
— Website strategy and content (Sept/Oct’26)

The assignment included revitalizing their media kit to include more of their award-winning photography and a fresh online format for ad sales pitches optimized for viewing—and closing the deal—on devices.
Deliverables:
— Media Kit interactive PDF with customized sales rep forms
— Holiday Gift Guide and assorted small space ad designs
— eNewsletter Waltham Fields Farm to Table story and photography
NEBRA
2025
Change is hard, especially when there’s more than one challenge to address—so getting clear on the priorities, plan and people is where NEBRA started.
Facing an aging workforce and infrastructure along with new policy requirements (PFAS limits, recycling and reuse restrictions), the biosolids industry is looking for answers at the local, state and regional level. Working together is the most important part of the solution.
In a series of short, facilitated meetings, the board completed a survey and reviewed the responses to craft new mission, vision and values statements with an intent to make their website an education hub.
Deliverables:
— Survey and report (confidential)
— Facilitated board meetings
— New mission, vision, values statements
NEBRA VISION:
Grow a diverse, collaborative membership
Build influential relationships through education
Advance policies founded on science, innovation and sustainable biosolids/residual solutions
WHITE LION BAKING COMPANY
2023–2024
I had my eye on this tiny (empty) storefront for months, wondering what could possibly go in there? Imagine my surprise when it was a bakery! And a specialty one at that: certified gluten-free. Ironically gluten is something we CAN eat in our house, but there are so many folks who feel so much better without it. My personal experience with food allergy communication made managing this shop (while recovering from long covid) extraordinarily rewarding.
Deliverables:
— Seasonal merchandising and store sets
— Holiday menus, signage, emails and website graphics
— Photography and content development for social media
